As a major e-commerce division, P/K Home did not have a website to showcase and directly sell products.
Discovery + Opportunity
P/Kaufmann Home, a fairly new division of P/Kaufmann at the time, needed both more brand awareness and traction with potential customers online, according to coworkers in the e-commerce department.
Additionally, it was discovered that business profit margins are reduced greatly when selling B2B.
1. Prototype a website that would feature finished products, such as bedding collections and furniture covers, that could be shown to both potential retailers and consumers.
2. Website can serve as a B2C outlet for products.
After sharing the prototype with stakeholders (Vice President Sales and Marketing, VP of Design, Chief Merchandising Officer), the project was put aside for another time.
This was the first time I used InVision to create a prototype, and this project is what kickstarted my desire to get more into the UI/UX field.
What's more, as I look back at this project from a few years ago, I realize I would like to do the following:
1. Create a mobile-first prototype using Figma.
2. Redesign the web version in Figma as well.
